H.A.P.P.Y.®
The H.A.P.P.Y.® framework offers evidence-based autism support focused on well-being, predictability and meaningful participation.
What is H.A.P.P.Y.®
H.A.P.P.Y.® (Happiness in Autism Personal Project for Young people) stems from one powerful conviction: every autistic person — regardless of age, profile, or cognitive abilities — deserves access to happiness and quality of life.
Where conventional well-being programmes often fall short, H.A.P.P.Y.® offers a different approach: evidence-based strategies adapted to autistic cognition, where predictability, context sensitivity and individuality are central.
The result is a personalised workbook — a tailored roadmap with concrete, autism-friendly strategies for everyday well-being.
H.A.P.P.Y.® is designed for all ages (0–99), with flexible pathways for children, teens and adults.
Who is H.A.P.P.Y.® for?
H.A.P.P.Y.® is a programme that results in a personalized workbook for a young person on the autism spectrum with suggestions for activities that are concretizations of 10 evidence based wellbeing strategies.
With ‘young’ we mean every person between 0 and 99. Trying to stay and feel young is a part of every happiness plan….
There are two basic versions:
- One for autistic children: here the workbook is made with and for the parents and/or the professionals working with the child
- One for autistic (young) adults: here the workbook is made with and for the autistic individual
H.A.P.P.Y.® is a flexible programme and it has various concrete application possibilities.
These will be discussed in the training for H.A.P.P.Y.®-coaches.
How H.A.P.P.Y.® works
The process starts with a set of questionnaires mapping the person’s well-being, needs, context and wishes.
A trained H.A.P.P.Y.®-coach then creates a personalised workbook (± 30–40 pages) with clear explanations and practical strategies.
The workbook includes tailored activities, routines, coping tools, reflection tasks, and meaningful everyday actions.
H.A.P.P.Y.® is flexible: there is a version for children and teens (with parents or professionals) and a version for adults who participate directly in creating their own plan.
