The Present
Current job:
Peter is founder, director, CEO, lecturer, consultant, website developer, secretary, light bulb replacer, catering and logistic employee. at Autism in Context. Occasionally, Peter even does the cleaning of the offices of Autism in Context. And on top of all that, he also takes care of Viggo, the Icelandic Shepherd.
When Peter is not presenting, writing, driving or flying around for his job, he can usually be found on one of his 4 bicycles, trying to imitate Tour de France winners, hereby being oblivious to his age and physical state. When tired from cycling, he can be found at home, with his wife and their dog (which actually is more a Gremlin than a dog). Or he is playing with his grandchildren. Because the Gremlin loves the beach, Peter often spends his weekends at the seaside, savouring seafood and – being a descendant of a brewing family – enjoying a good beer.
Awards:
In 2019, Peter received the Passwerk Lifetime Achievement Award for his more than 30 years of work in the autism field in Belgium. And some of his books got awards in the US, like the Mom’s Choice Award.
The Future
Well, to be honest, we have no crystal ball, so therefore we cannot write much about Peter’s future.

Publications
Peter wrote his first book in 1996. The title? “This is the title”.
With this literal title for a book about literal minds, he set the tone.
Since 1996, Peter wrote more than 15 books, but all share the same style:
Peter explains science based facts about autism in a very comprehensible language, coupled with practical tips and always topped with a touch of humour.
Science with a wink and a link to the real contexts of every day life.
